SEPA
Santa Elena Project of Accompaniment
Announcing:

Thanks to you........

SEPA recently transfered over $12,000 to the village of Santa Elena to be used to fund 27 middle school and high school scholarships. This was a record year for scholarship requests and a record year for donations. Many, many of you responded positively to SEPA's request to help these young students.  We will keep you posted as we learn of their academic accomplishments.

It's off to Guatemala on January 3rd for a group of 11 OC students and Oberlin residents led by John Gates. The group will visit Santa Elena and Copal AA, study Spanish, make chocolate and tortillas, harvest corn, teach English, visit two national parks, and visit human rights workers in Guatemala City.
Be sure to attend the Guatemalan Dinner on February 9th so you can hear about this group's experiences in Guatemala.
